Toyland with Papa Jack & Granny Jo

Soooooo...on to Portland. We headed up to Portland, TN to spend the day with my Dad, aka "Papa Jack", Granny Jo, Carli & Cameron. We had the best time eating, laughing, listening to music (a little Ray Charles Christmas), gathered under the Christmas tree to open gifts to each other, catching up on all that we having going on.
The big surprise for the kids was "Toyland". It was unbelieveable and the kids LOVED it!! Carli & Cameron are my 1/2 sister (16) and brother (14). They have outgrown all of the toys that our kids are growing into. So, they cleaned out the garage and set up a bunch of stations for the kids to play in...the Barbie Corner, the Star Wars Corner, the Basketball Station, a Tent with Legos and other stuff in it, a Golf Green in the Center, an Art Station with lots of papers, stencils, and crayons & paints, a Small Refrigerator in the Corner FILLED with Chocolate Milks, and I'm sure that there was more....needless to say, the kids had a blast!!! And the real surprise at the end was that they got to choose some things to take home. The hours that they put into this...I don't even know!!...but we appreciate the it and my kids are still talking about it.
We just pulled up our chairs to watch...okay, yes we played a little too :)

Everyone was so excited about Toyland!!

Brandy, that is the greatest idea! Toyland sounds wonderful and such a wonderful way to connect everyone with Carli and Cameron being teenagers! I know they love their neices and nephews and had a blast setting it up for them. Tracy and I used to do some fun things with Barbies, baby dolls, and grocery store with our younger cousins at my Granny Comer's when we were teenagers. We loved it and I think it is what keeps us close to this day! You made great memories. Glad everyone is doing well. Annette
